The goal, purpose, and reason for New Life Story Counseling is to offer guidance and support to individuals, couples, and families who want to reveal their authentic selves and adapt or adjust what may have been unsatisfying chapters of their lives into a new life, filled with joy and satisfaction.

I am Andréa Green-Soto, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Originally from South Carolina, my family and I returned to Northeast Florida after my husband retired from the military in 2015. I have been an active member in both the Clay and Duval mental and behavioral health communities ever since, and I pride myself on giving back to and working with the military and their families. I fully understand the stressors of being in a distant and multi-leveled relationship and feel highly qualified to help other women and men deal with similar challenges or changes that come along with life events such as active duty, the transitiontion to civilian life, long-distance relationships, blended families, single parenthood, or even being in a longterm relationship.

I also enjoy motivating and mentoring teens and young adults to strive both academically and independently. Using my experience as a spouse, mother of 3, and a bonus Mom, I connect with my clients in an understanding and empathetic manner to form a therapeutic relationship grounded in honesty and encouragement.

Services Offered

Individual Counseling

Counseling focused on the individual's immediate or near future concerns. It may encompass depression, anxiety, careers, family issues, grief, and/or more, but with the goal to make life more manageable and goal attainable.

Couples or Marriage Counseling

This form of counseling assists couples with exploring their relationship, recognizing their strengths, and working to resolve conflicts, while also learning ways to rebuild connections and improve interactions and communication.

Family Counseling

Family counseling can help families work through difficult transitions, learn how to communicate with one another, process conflicts, and ultimately strengthen bonds.

Military/Veteran Counseling

NLSC is a veteran/family-owned small business. Military Life is full of stressful Transitions such as unexpected schedule changes, relocating, missing important milestones or events, and always sacrificing something. It does not matter which member of the family you are or what phase of your military career you are in- Active, Reserve, Veteran, Retired- I am here to help and strengthen this community.

Counseling for Middle/Junior High, High School, and/or College students and individuals as they attempt to navigate challenging phases of their lives, step into their independence, and begin to write their own stories of their adult lives.
